It felt like a dream but it was as real as standing
before a castle painted in gold and silver!
There I was walking along when an elderly man stopped
me and handed me ten thousand dollars, I stared at the
man but it didn’t seem right to ask him why he’d give
me such a gift.
He was then gone in a blink of an eye; my face was
aglow when I realized what I’d do with this money the
elderly man gave me.
When I got to my house I told my dad and mom of the
elderly man’s gift and I explained to them what I
planned to do with the money I was given.
Going to my desk I pulled out all the envelopes I’d
received from the organization ’Feed the Children.’
Bringing out the newest letter they sent me I got out
two thousand and five hundred of the money the elderly
man gave me. I wrote a short note saying that ‘ I was
sorry I hadn’t sent much money for the past two years,
until know I hadn’t had any money to send, but please
take this money here and use it to feed all those
hungry kids. God bless you and the works you do!’
Then I had mailed it out.
That following Sunday we went to church, and as the
offering buckets were being passed around I slipped
another two thousand five hundred dollars inside an
envelope and simply wrote. “ God bless you Pastor, I
hope this helps your ministry.” I placed it in the
offering bucket and off went that piece of my money.
Later that day when we returned home I gave a thousand
dollars to my brother, my mom and my dad. So I now had
two thousand dollars left.
I have two brothers at home and the eldest of the two
is in a wheelchair, he was paralyzed from the waist
down since a young age. I wanted to help in a way
that would do more then just giving him a thousand
dollars.
So the next day I went to a doctor’s office and
explained the case to him. I told him I only had two
thousand dollars to give him to look at my brother and
try and help him.
He told me ’ Something like this normally costs about
ten thousand dollars.’
I stared at him for a long time before saying. “ Sir,
I gave my other eight thousand dollars away,” I paused
as I pulled out the rest of my money given to me by
the elderly man. “ This is all I have left…”
The Doctor nodded, he seemed like he was deep in
thought before compassion touched his heart. Smiling
he said to me. “ I’ll do this for you, the testing and
everything alone is worth more then two thousand, but
I’ll take care of it.”
I was so grateful I quickly thanked the man and gave
him the rest of my money. A couple of days later the
Doctor and his team came to my house and took my
brother to the hospital to do some X-rays and cat
scans on his spine and other parts of his body.
When the testing was done the Doctor called my dad and
I into his office and explained. “ We have found the
break in the spine, and we have called a specialist in
this kind of Practice to do the spine operation so
he’ll come down tomorrow to operate on your son. We
feel good about this, I think this is going to be the
chance your son’s been praying for.”
My dad and I gave thanks to God for the information
and we thanked the Doctor for the news. We prayed
that God would guide the Doctor’s hands as they did
the surgery.
The following day the operation was done and the
Doctors were able to completely fix my brother’s spine
with God‘s help and guidance, so when my dad brought
my brother home two days later I saw a sight I’d never
seen before until that moment.
My brother was walking!

and Healer of all things!
