Six months ago Sherwood Media Productions sent us information on their newest movie "FIREPROOF". My daughter, Jamie, marked our calendar to be one of the first to see the movie. It came out the weekend of her 17th birthday. We were planning her birthday party for Sunday, but she insisted that we go Saturday afternoon. She wanted to help make the opening weekend a great successful first week for Sherwood.
This movie has great acting, firefighters, and a fantastic storyline. Kirk Cameron who plays the main actor was at his best. The story was realistic, and I cried because I saw myself in the same feelings when my marriage had gone through those same tough situations. The audiance applauded the movie when it was over.
I have been recommending the movie to everyone. The neighbor on my right said her church was offering to watch the kids while couples went to the Sunday afternoon showing, and my neighbor on my left said her friend told her the movie was written for her and her husband and their troubled marriage.
I wanted to go as a family, but my husband had groceries to buy and errands that had to be made before the party. I am planning on going again, and taking him this time. My daughter and I both agree that this was Sherwood's best movie yet, and the best movie for marriages that we have ever seen. My son, Jonathan like the movie, but he still says "Facing the Giants" was his favorite.

The Impact of FIREPROOF
This story was submitted by Keith on FireprooftheMovie.com:
“My wife of 13 years had handed me divorce papers on the Monday evening before the movie came out. The script for the movie could have been written about us. We are both good people, we were just not being good to each other. I got a call from a friend on Saturday insisting that my wife and I go see this movie. I was afraid to even ask her, but I did. We went to the afternoon movie on Sunday.
“Wow ... it was us on the screen. We went home and talked about a lot of things and both said that we were sorry. We decided to stay together, to start going to church together again, and to treat each other the way we should have been all along. My wife called her lawyer on Monday and told him that she didn't want a divorce and I did the same. We ordered The Love Dare book for both of us on Tuesday, and the marriage kit as well. Thank you so much for showing us that we aren't the only couple with the problems that these people had and for giving us a new direction to go in. I love my wife and am looking forward to our new life together!”
While more theaters will be added next week (October 10), it looks like the majority of the new 300 theaters will be added on October 17.
