Almighty and everlasting God, Thank you for sending Jesus who is the Perfect Tabernacle. Thank you for washing me with the Blood of Jesus that washes away my sins white as snow. Day 29 TAXES PAID FROM A FISHES MOUTH

    TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

    Nehemiah 9:12-15
    1 John 1:8-10
    Matthew 17:24-27
    Psalm 119:120-121

Today is the twenty-ninth day of the Lent season. In the story that is found only in the Gospel of Matthew we read about another miracle. I think that It is a funny miracle. When Peter asked Jesus if they should pay taxes Jesus told Peter to go to the lake and throw out a fishing line. And the first fish that he would catch would have money in his mouth. Then Jesus told Peter to use the money to pay the taxes. We do not read anymore about what happened when Peter went to the lake, but we know that every time Jesus said something would happen ~ IT DID!!! Jesus always spoke truth.

    PRAYER:
Almighty and everlasting God, Thank you for your every day miracles. I love to read the stories in the Bible, especially about the miracles of Jesus and His amazing love. Thank you for being the God of love, and for sending Your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who died so that we could be justified by His blood and who washes our sins away forever and ever. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Day 30 ~ JESUS THE PERFECT TABERNACLE

    TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

    Exodus 30:17-21 and Leviticus 23:33-43
    Hebrews 9:11-12
    John 7:1-52
    Psalm 51

Today is the thirtieth day of the Lent season. Jesus went Judea to celebrate The Feast of the Tabernacles. This celebration is to remember the journey of the Israelites and the days of wandering through the wilderness for forty years. During the third year of Jesus' Ministry He taught at the Temple Courts in the middle of the Feast of the Tabernacles. The people were amazed at His teachings because Jesus had not obtained His knowledge and Understanding from the Jewish leaders. Jesus told them that His teachings came from the One that sent Him. He was speaking of God, His Father.

"On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

Read Hebrews 9:11-12 which explains that Jesus is the Perfect Tabernacle.

("God's plan for mankind involves restoration. The Feast of Tabernacles symbolizes the restoration process, which will start with the return of Jesus Christ, pictured by the Feast of Trumpets, and the banishment of Satan, depicted by the Day of Atonement. Once these events have taken place, as represented by the previous Holy Days, the foundation is in place for the restoration of the creation to peace and harmony with God.") From UCG.org

    Day 31 ~ JESUS FORGIVES A WOMAN'S SINS

    TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

    Leviticus 20:10
    1 Corinthians 6:20 and 7:23
    John 8:1-11
    Psalm 103:1-4 and Psalm 119:11

Today is the thirty-first day of the Lent season. Today we read in the Gospel of John, Chapter 8 about a woman who was about to be stoned to death because of her sin of adultery. Adultery is when you have sex with someone other than the person you are married to. When Jesus approaches the scene the Jewish leaders reminded Jesus that the law from Moses said to stone her. Then they asked him, "What do You say?" Jesus replied; “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Everyone left because no one was without sin. Jesus told the woman that he forgives her, and to sin no more.

    PRAYER:
Almighty and everlasting God, Thank you for forgiving our sins. Help us to learn more about You and Your Son from Your Word, the Bible. And help us to learn to say NO to sins and YES to obeying your commandments and spending more time with you. Thank you for being the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Day 32 ~ JESUS HEALS A BLIND MAN

    TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

    Isaiah 11:2
    Revelation 1:12-20
    John 9:1-41
    Psalm 18:28

Today is the thirty-second day of the Lent season. In the Gospel of John we read the story of Jesus healing a man who had been blind since he was born. No one had heard of a miracle like this before, and the Jewish leaders were asking a lot of questions to the man's parents, friends and to the man who had been healed. Everyone was Amazed, except the Jewish leaders who were very frustrated because they were Spiritually BLINDED to the truth of who Jesus is.

    PRAYER:
Almighty and everlasting God, Thank you for healing the blind so that they can see, Thank you for healing the deaf so that they can hear. Thank you for healing the lame so that they can jump for joy and worship You. You are an AWESOME God, and I will Praise You forever and ever. Thank you for being the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

    Exodus 25:22
    Romans 6:11-12 and Revelation 3:20
    John 11:1-44
    Psalm 89:14-18

Today is the thirty-third day of the Lent season. Lazarus had been dead for four days by the time Jesus arrived to his home. His sisters, Mary and Martha, and all their friends were very sad. Jesus loved Lazarus, and He wept. Jesus told the people to take away the stone. Martha said there would be a bad odor because he had been dead for four days. Jesus replied, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the Glory of God." Then Jesus prayed to God and said "Lazarus, come out!"

The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.

Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

This story can be found in three Gospels; Matthew 19:13-15, Mark 10:13-16, and Luke 18:15-17.
